Leave Town; Keep Your Peace of Mind.
Leaving your animal behind is never the easy part of going anywhere. You want to know they’re comfortable, cared for, and in good hands while you’re away — not just surviving, but actually happy and settled. At Animal Clinic of Glasgow, our boarding guests are looked after by the same team that handles their medical care, which means your animal isn’t just staying in a kennel — they’re staying in a veterinary hospital with trained staff who know what to watch for, how to handle medications, and how to keep tails wagging (and purrs going) until you’re back. We offer boarding accommodations for dogs, cats, and large animals, so the whole crew is covered while you’re gone.
Dog Boarding
Our dog boarding accommodations are designed to keep your pup safe, comfortable, and entertained while you’re away. Each dog gets their own clean, climate-controlled space with cozy bedding, fresh water, and regular meals on their normal feeding schedule. Daily activity includes supervised outdoor time, bathroom breaks, and plenty of interaction with our staff — because a bored dog is an anxious dog, and that’s not what vacation is about (for either of you). We’re happy to accommodate dietary preferences, feeding routines, and any other instructions that help your dog feel more at home.
Cat Boarding
Cats need something different from dogs when it comes to boarding — mainly, they need to not be anywhere near the dogs. Our cat boarding area is separate, quiet, and designed to feel as stress-free as possible for feline guests who’d really rather be on their own couch. Each cat gets their own clean, comfortable space with a cozy place to hide (because hiding is healthy cat behavior, not a problem), fresh water, regular meals, and gentle check-ins from our staff. We’ll follow your cat’s routine as closely as possible, because we know that for cats, routine is everything.
Daily Routine & Activity
Structure matters when your pet is away from home, so we maintain a consistent daily routine for all of our boarding guests. Dogs receive regular outdoor time, bathroom breaks, and interaction throughout the day. Cats enjoy a quieter schedule with gentle check-ins, clean litter, and undisturbed nap time (their specialty). Feeding happens on a schedule that matches what your pet is used to at home, and we track meals, water intake, bathroom habits, and overall demeanor so we can spot any changes quickly. If something seems off, our veterinary team is literally steps away.
Medication Administration & Special Needs
This is where boarding at a veterinary hospital really makes a difference. If your pet takes daily medications, needs insulin injections, has a chronic condition that requires monitoring, or is recovering from a recent procedure, our team can handle it — no additional stress, no missed doses, no guesswork. We administer medications on schedule, monitor for any changes, and have a full veterinary team on-site if anything comes up. Whether your pet’s needs are straightforward or a little more complicated, you can travel knowing they’re in genuinely capable hands.
What to Bring / How to Prepare
A little preparation goes a long way toward helping your pet settle in. We recommend bringing your pet’s regular food (to avoid tummy trouble from sudden diet changes), any medications with clear dosing instructions, and a favorite toy or blanket that smells like home — it makes a bigger difference than you’d think. We’ll also need up-to-date vaccination records and your emergency contact information, and we ask that pets with ongoing health concerns have documentation from their veterinarian before boarding. When you drop off, we’ll walk through everything together so you can head out the door feeling good.
More Than a Kennel. A Team.
The difference between boarding at a veterinary hospital and boarding anywhere else comes down to one thing: who’s watching your animal while you’re gone. Our boarding guests aren’t just being fed and walked — they’re being observed by trained veterinary professionals who know what healthy looks like and can act immediately if something changes.
